Students cannot drive themselves to the event - because this is a field trip, there are liabilities.

The District is hosting a Career Fair. Spectrum students will be attending Thursday, April 19th. Bus will leave Spectrum at 11:55 am and return to the school at 2pm. There will be over 80 exhibitors and you can enter for a chance to win an ipad! This event is highly recommended for grad 11 and 12 students.

HighTechU is an initiative of the UVic Department of Computer Science and is a job-skills development program, with the opportunity for participants to walk into a full-time paid internship with a local tech start-up over the summer. Students must participate in the program pilot which runs 9am-4pm on Saturdays from April 7th to May 12th to be eligible to apply for the summer internship program. See Ms. Condie for details and application forms. Application deadline is March 16.
We are asking every student to complete our online TAG Career Survey. This potentially helps us to guide them with course selections and career paths in their future. Many have already completed it (477) but we have almost 1200 students here so lots still need to do it. Please encourage your student to complete the survey online so we don’t have to get them to fill out a paper copy.
