Burnside Gorge Association needs your help!
They have 2 big community events coming up and need volunteers to make it work.
Monster Mash - Saturday, October 27 is a fun Halloween event for families and children. The event features games, dancing and a concession stand. They need your help with decorating, cleaning up, game and activity leaders, spooky greeters, cafe helpers.
Santa's Pancake Breakfast - Saturday, December 8 is an annual Christmas event for families, featuring musical entertainment, crafts and activities and a delicious pancake breakfast and photo with Santa. They need your help with cleanup, craft and activities, greeters, kitchen crew, Santa's helpers and theatre crew.

This is a one day event working with Blood Services to sign people up for appointments to give blood.
The event runs from 12PM – 5PM.
Shift 1: 11:45 – 2:30PM
Shift 2: 2:30 – 5:15PM
Volunteers have the option to work both shifts to get 5.5 hours of volunteer time.
The booths are downtown Victoria, on Government Street between Humboldt and Yates (the street will be closed to vehicles).

VOCYL is an inclusive youth leadership program supported by CLV. Volunteers share their knowledge and experience as youth both with and without disabilities in order to advocate for change in local schools and in the community.

Volunteer with the Moss Street Market - Saturdays, now through to the end of October. They need help with keeping the area clean, in the information tent, kids tent, coffee tent and helping with take down.

Vancouver Island Model Engineer Society is looking for volunteers for
their family friendly Halloween event: The Pumpkin Express.
Dates: October 19, 20, 21
Times: 4:30 - 830pm
Tasks: Pre-event tasks include decorating the forest area the train runs through and scarecrow building!
Scarecrow building will take place Saturday, September 22 from 10am - 3pm.
Tasks during the event include: supervision at the craft tables, train track crossings, pumpkin carvings, haunted story walks, scavenger hunt into the grave yard and face painting.
Students will be given a record of volunteer hours upon request.
